Our Story

Our Story

The Place To Be is both a French bakery and a Café hold by a French family; Matthieu the Chef baker, Sandra who works in the bakery and will explain to you all of the products. Their 2 kids, Milo & Maé and of course Ewen, the Golden retriever that many of our customers already met.

We come from Brittany in France, but used to live on the south of France (Marseille) for 12 years.

Why did we choose to come in California? To live a new family adventure, to live the California way of life and of course to share our love for the French pastries and baked goods through an indisputable know-how.

September 2018, arrived in Los Angeles.
